This is a popular high altitude route in eastern Arizona. The peak of Mt. Baldy is in the jurisdiction of Mountain Apache Reservation, so no hikers are allowed to reach the summit without permission. This trail is a loop of the mountain range that reaches just below the summit. Beautiful alpine views, abundant wildlife, big vertical gain, and many fallen trees makes this trail an adventure of its own.
