Scenic Route around the Kalkkögel Mountains in Axamer Lizum, Tirol.

This was the FKT Austria Monatsstrecke September 2020.

Start at the Parking Axamer Lizum. You run south via the Halsl to Stubaital. Via the awesome Glattlsteig you arrive at Schlickeralm. Climb the way up to Sennjochhütte and follow the trail between Niederer Burgstall and Hoher Burgstall. The highest point is Seejöchl (2519m). Follow the Downhill north to Adolf Pichler Hütte and start here the last climb to Hoadl. From there it is all downhill to the Finish at the Axamer Lizum Parking.

This route is entirely runnable and combines speedy singletrack with breathtaking views, including an alpine lake, all while circumnavigating Mt. Yale (14,196').

The 33.5 mile route is a point-to-point trail.  The route starts on the the east side of the Olympic National park from the trailhead of Dosewallips River Trail.
