Metz-Nancy (France)
This route is located in France, in the ''Grand Est'' region.
It starts from Metz (pronounced Mess), beautiful city which has a recorded history dating back over 3,000 years, and finishes in Nancy, well-known for its ''Place Stanislas'', a large and luminous square (UNESCO World Heritage Site, the first place in France and in the top four in the world).
During 65km, the route crosses:
- two canals (''le canal de Jouy'' for the first 20km along the Moselle river and ''le canal de la Marne au Rhin'' along the Meurthe river in the last 10km)
Hamilton Escarpment Stairs (ON, Canada)
Run up all five official municipal staircases that link the lower and upper city together along the Escarpment that bisects the city of Hamilton, ON.
Run the staircases in any order and link them together in a single run, making sure to ascend every step. Time begins with the first step up the first staircase, and ends with the final step to the top of the last staircase. The staircases are:
Chedoke Stairs (289 stairs) starting at the parking lot at the end of Beddoe Dr.

Equinox Mountain (VT)
Mount Equinox, in Manchester, VT, peaks at just 3,855ft of elevation. But unlike many mountains, you have to climb most of that to get to the summit. Prominence measures the elevation of the peak in relation to the land surrounding it, and is therefore a better metric for climbing in New England, where the summits are never really high enough for the altitude to play much of a role in fatigue and athletic performance.
