Description

More than 12,000 years ago, an immense flow of glacial ice sculpted a landscape of remarkable beauty across Wisconsin. As the glacier retreated, it left behind a variety of unique landscape features. These glacial remnants are now considered among the world’s finest examples of how continental glaciation sculpts our planet.

Description

In days gone by local people walked along the boundary to remember Patterdale’s border. Boys may have been beaten to make fast the memory - hence “beating the bounds”! Other people have walked and run along the Boundary for sport and interest. In this spirit in 1990 the Rector of Patterdale and two local parishioners walked the boundary in 13 hours. In 1992 they invited people to walk the boundary to raise money in sponsorship and donations for Patterdale School and St Patrick's Church. Since then the walk has taken place every year.
