Description

Devised by outdoors writer and broadcaster Cameron McNeish, the Scottish National Trail is a challenging, 864 kilometre-long unofficial long distance walking route running the length of Scotland from Kirk Yetholm in the south to Cape Wrath in the north. The route is sure to make an impression on visitors with the sheer variety of scenery - from the historic capital of Edinburgh to remote Highland villages, and from the heights of the Cairngorm Mountains to the depths of Loch Ness.

Brazeau Loop (AB, Canada)

Description

The Brazeau Loop is a 81km well maintained trail located in Banff National Park with a total elevation gain / loss of 1878m. The highest point on the trail is 2470m. Starting at Nigel Trailhead travelling towards Four Point Campground. The trail follows the Nigel river ascents through Nigel pass and crosses the Upper Brazeau River to the Four Point Campground. Continue on towards Jonas Cutoff. This section takes you through a forest and opens up into Jonas pass. The trail continues to Jonas shoulder which is the highest point on the trail and descends to Jonas Cutoff camp.
