Start at Devil's Slide Trail Head 3E05 at the end of Fern Rd in Idyllwild / Fern Valley and end at Hwy 10 under-crossing on Pacific Crest Trail, (CA). 30.8 mi, 4,123 elevation gain, 9,279 elevation loss.

This route can be done as an out and back starting from either end. Both trailheads are at within 100 feet of each other in elevation. This route is particularly special because it can be accessed from either side of the Sierras. The mammoth trailhead, funnily  enough, being accessed from the west side off Beasore road out of Bass Lake. And the other starting point being the shuttle parking lot of Devils Post Pile national monument outside of Mammoth. So within15 relatively easy mile you can cross from a car on one side of the Sierras to a car on the other side.

The Brit Valley Way is a 20 KM challenging trail route between West Bay on the Dorset (UK) coast up to Chedington, north of Beaminster.
