Der Frankenweg

The Frankenweg is well-known among hikers in Germany, so I find it odd that I can't find any speed records for the entire 520 km trail. Now, this could just be my dodgy German skills or the fact that 520 km (About 320 miles) is a nasty distance for speed.

To Poland!

There are precious few routes in Berlin, but we are actually close to another country, so why not run to it? Rather than specify a single route, here's the challenge: Get to Poland the fastest. Standard FKT rules apply, except you can take whatever route you like so long as you start at the Brandenburger Tor and end on the Oderbrücke Hohenwutzen.

The attached GPX file is apparently the most direct runnable route, but your mileage may vary (literally).

The Abbots Way (Italy)

Submitted by Paolo Massarotti on Fri, 09/22/2023 - 09:23am
Description

Abbots Way is the modern name ascribed to an ancient medieval thoroughfare, recently rediscovered, that links Pavia to Pontremoli for a total of 195 kilometers. The entire route, pinpointed through the reading of texts and visits to the area, is marked by medieval discoveries in some ancient structures, including towers, castles, fountains, chapels, and roads paved in stone. The route is the remains of the path used by the monks to travel between Pavia and Pontremoli using places such as Bobbio, Boccolo dei Tassi, Gravago and Borgotaro to rest and/or change horses.
