A demanding but suggestive itinerary among the wild peaks of the Western Upper Lario, the Alta Via del Lario is a trekking route of about 50 km which is generally covered in 3 main stages. The itinerary develops between 1200m and 2400m above sea level, along the ridge that separates the Como side from the Swiss one, partly following the paths that connect the ancient pastures to each other.
