Looking Glass Rock Trail is an iconic trail located in Pisgah National Forest. Due to its popularity, ease of access, and consistently steep and well maintained path, it is one of the best tests of a runner's uphill threshold climbing ability. This route is for the ascent from the parking lot to the granite face.
The route climbs steadily, gaining over 500m in 4.8km before descending to the opening on the granite face.
Pico Tunari es el mas emblematico de la region. Este es una ruta bien conocida para trekking y turismo. Desde el parqueo debajo de la Laguna Marquina, subes la cresta de rocas a la derecha a encontrar el sendero al lado de la Laguna Marquina. Pasa un campo verde donde pastoran las llamas. Empieza una subida empinada hacia Laguna Macho. En este tramo empinado hay garzas y caballos salvajes. El sendero sigue a la derecha bordeando la laguna y despues otra vez bien empinado y un poco mas complicado por piedra cortada hasta la ventana del diablo.
