Description

This section of the AT starts at the Clarks Valley parking lot on Rt 325. It is a combination of smooth ridge running and typical "Rocksylvania" rocks. There is a beaver dam at mile 12! It has several road crossings, allowing those who do it self-supported the opportunity to drop aid at multiple points. As with many sections of the AT in PA, the views are amazing - when you can look up from the rocks. The main features of this section of the AT are the remains of the historic mining villages of Rausch Gap and Yellow Springs and the nice views from Kimmel Lookout.

Oosterschelde pad is one of the official regional paths in the Netherlands (RP 15) encircling the largest national park of the country. It is well marked both ways with yellow-red markings. The national park has an unique ecosystem, crosses many coastal towns and is popular amongst divers too. It also crosses historical towns such as Goes and Zierikzee. Many historical landmarks from the Eighty Years' War can be found along the way. Most of the route follows the coastal line.

Description

The route goes between Riozinho and Maquine, through dirt & country roads, lots of nature and little to none car traffic. It is a dirt road & single track, that basically only 4WD or bikes are able to cross, crossing a very remote and rural area. The first 15km pose an elevation gain of around 900m, then around 10km of low elevation gain, around 150m and then you will arrive at Serra da Boa Vista, one of the most beautiful views of the country, with views of the Atlantic Ocean and the foothills of Serra do Mar.
