This route is an out-and-back starting from the trailhead for "The Crack" trail to the summit of Silver Peak and back following the La Cloche Silhouette Trail (https://fastestknowntime.com/route/la-cloche-trail-canada). This is quite possibly the best trail in Ontario, and this route links the two highlights: The Crack and Silver Peak.
The Hockley Valley Loop trail follows the main Bruce Trail and the Hockley Heights Side Trail to make a 24 km loop through the Hockley Valley that is 80-90% singletrack. Starting from the parking on 5th Line near Hockley Valley Road, the trail climbs up Sally's Pinnacle where it joins the main Bruce Trail, through the Hockley Valley ski area, and around the golf course. This section is all singletrack until it descends on 2nd Line (gravel road). The route crosses Hockley Valley Rd and heads North through the nature reserve on amazing trails.
Östgötaleden is a 1200 km long network of hiking trails that mainly runs through Östergötland. The trail connects in the northeast to the Sörmlandsleden and in the south to the Sevedeleden, Tjustleden and Höglandsleden.
All 13 municipalities in Östergötland have in some way at least one stretch of the Östgötaleden. It runs some distances together with Klosterleden and some distances it also has other names, even though it is the Östgötaleden route, such as Omberg around.
This route takes in the best of the Lomond Hills and Falkland Estate and will be an attractive FKT challenge to the local running community which is quite busy. There is currently only one other route in the Lomonds on FKT which is a 20km one way run (The Four Fifers).
This route starts and finishes at the superb Pillars of Hercules Organic shop/café, just outside the picturesque village of Falkland. This is an ideal place to start/finish.(www.pillars.co.uk)
The Vale Way was developed by the Vale of White Horse Ramblers and officially launched in 2015. It connects the key towns of Abingdon, Wantage and Faringdon; starting at the source of the River Ock in Abingdon and finishing in Longcot, exploring the beatutiful Oxfordshire countryside between the two! Clear waymark stickers can be seen on footpath signs along the route.
