Friese Woudenpad (Netherlands)
The Friese Woudenpad (LAW 1-1) is an official LAW (Long Distance Hiking Path) running from Lauwersoog to Steenwijk, the Netherlands. It is marked by the traditional white-red marking. It is marked both ways. It crosses multiple National Parcs, including: Lauwersmeer, Friese Wouden, Nationaal Park Drents-Friese Wold and the Weerribben. It runs from the province of Friesland south and the finish is in the northern part of the province Overijssel. After the start the route takes you over an impressive enclosure dam. The Frisian nature is isolated, sometimes rough and unforgiving.
