Classical hiking route in Jämtland. To Google Vålådalsfyrkanten ("the valley square of Vålå") gives more than 2000 hits. To read more about the route in Swedish click here and here. The route start and finishes at the parking lot at Vålådalen mountain station. The route goes via STF mountain cabins STF Lunndörren, STF Vålåstugan och STF Stensdalen.

Amazing experiences and classical single tracks along part of the route that is used during the races Fjällmaraton, but this is not the race course. Start from Ottsjön and up on Hållfjället, down to Nordbottnen, and up again on Ottfjället. Beautiful surroundings with small lakes on the mountains and all the way round Ottjsön (the Ott lake). On the east part of Ottfjället less used single tracks towards Östra (East) Vålådalen.

The High Five route is a lollipop loop linking up the five peaks — El Capitan, the Lonesome Bachelor, and the three (West, Middle, and East) Como Sisters — along the headwall ridge of the Little Rock Creek canyon in the Bitterroot mountains, starting and finishing at the Little Rock Creek trailhead. The route emphasizes scrambling efficiently over rocky ridgelines and boulderfields, but sections of trail running and bushwhacking make it a good test of several types of mountain movement.
