The "Sagenhafte Schächerbachtour" is a premium hiking path in Homberg/Ohm in the Vogelsberg, a mountain range of volcanic origin. Since its opening, many hikers come to Homberg, an otherwise sleepy small village.

While mainly designed for hiking, it also allows superb trailrunning. The route meanders through meadows and forests with flowing single trails. As it follows the Schaecherbach, it crosses the creek via volcanic stones and comes along mystic ponds or springs.
