The GR 56: an exceptional hike in Ubaye

A beautiful route around Barcelonnette, from mountain huts to lodges, and from flower-filled mountain pastures to high peaks. 155 kilometers to explore the magnificent Ubaye Valley and its incredible variety of panoramas. Between valleys, ridges, and peaks, the route totals more than 8,000 meters of elevation gain.

Whistlers Summit Trail is located in the Jasper National Park. It follows the trail of the Canadian National Park number 4 until the the hill station of the skytram and then the trail number 5a until the Peak. The route starts at the Trailhead of Trail 5, the Trailhead is marked with a information board. The route finishes at top of the mountain which is marked (see picture). From the peak you have magnificent view on Jasper. For the way down you can use the Skytram.
