Baker Trail (PA)

The Baker Trail is a 133-mile (214 kilometer) hiking and backpacking trail, following forest paths, old jeep trails, paved roads and dirt roads through woods, farmlands, and along rivers and creeks. The Baker Trail traverses six counties (Armstrong, Jefferson, Clarion, Indiana, Forest, and Westmoreland), is a state-designated hiking trail, and is included on the trails map of Pennsylvania.

Mt Moran (WY)

Description

The standard route on Moran is the CMC route, starting at the CMC campsite.  But, this is not "car-to-car", which would be starting at the Jenny Lake Loop Road, and either walking/running around Jenny & Leigh Lakes, or canoeing the lakes (which is the usual mountaineer's approach).

Big Savage Mountain Trail (MD)

Description

This is a challenging 17 mile mountain-top trail which travels over steep and rocky terrain with significant brush on the trail. Backpacking & primitive camping permits are available at Savage River State Forest Headquarters.

Use: Hiking Only

Difficulty: Difficult
