This route is a loop that travels through the most beautiful high-country sections of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, starting and ending at Road's End in Kings Canyon. It is sometimes taken as alternative to the JMT, and much of its distance travels along some of the prettiest sections of the JMT. It was first designed and completed as a cohesive route in 2013 by Amy and James of doingmiles.com, and since then many people have hiked the route.
The trail on the coast forms the south-eastern section of the loop of trails leading around the Puck Peninsula. It runs along the edge, along the border, which is marked by the Reda-Łeba Valley in the south and the Kashubian Valley in the east, as well as the shore of the Puck Bay.
