Description

Description

This is a 304-mile route recently linked together by Kevin Silvernale. People have thru-hiked the route the last couple of summers, with updates shared in a route Facebook group and via the NOCO trail website. Depending on route direction, it typically begins near Estes Park and ends near Glenwood Springs, broken into four major segments.

This route travels across beautiful Colorado terrain that has not previously been linked together in an extensive way like this. Some highlights include:

Lake Frederick Wildlife Trail

Description

Lake Frederick is a beautiful area in Front Royal, VA. There is a nice trail loop that goes around the entire perimeter of the lake. It's pretty well marked and has some rolling hills, though the total elevation gain is minor. The trail can get muddy or covered with leaves in the fall/winter which can make for some slippery conditions, so just be careful under these conditions. But it's a great place to walk, hike, or run around this gorgeous lake. Enjoy!
