The incredibly scenic, uphill Rabbit Creek Trail starts and ends with an ankle deep (or deeper depending on rain) water crossing. Creek rocks can be slippery! The trail is a winding journey straight up that connects to a variety of other trailheads (making this a great route for additional route variations to be added). The first junction will bring you to the peak point at the Hannah Mountain Trail. The trail is open year-round pending wildfire disruptions. This area of the Great Smoky National Park and Tallassee typically has limited or no cell service.

Woonsocket to Westerly is like tracing Rhode Island’s spine, from its gritty northern edge to its breezy southern shore. This route was selected to avoid highways making it a safe run on the mainland and is a non-trail route. This is a journey through mill towns, college cities, farmland, and coastal calm. In principle this is an open course route where you can design your preferred route but 102 is a good option for a long stretch. The endpoints are the St Pauls cemetery just across the MA border, and the tip of Watch Hill point by the lighthouse.

The Emerald Necklace is Boston's historic 1,100-acre chain of parks and waterways that stretches through the city. The entire system provides nearly 10 miles of dedicated, mostly off-road paths from the State House to Franklin Park, though typical runs cover about 7 miles from Boston Common to the Arnold Arboretum.
