Triple Divide Seven Summits

Description

This loop is located in Glacier National Park and comprises approximately 17 miles of well-maintained trail and 19 miles of off-trail scrambling. It starts from the Triple Divide Cut Bank Trailhead and follows trail to Triple Divide Pass. From here, the off-trail portion of the route begins, first climbing Mt. James and then Triple Divide Peak, a smaller summit geographically notable for water draining off its flanks into the Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean and Hudson Bay.

Big Elbow-Little Elbow Loop

Description

Route starts at Little Elbow Provincial Rec Area, in Kananaskis, and circumnavigates Mt Glasgow, Mt Cornwall, Outlaw Peak, and Banded Peak, either clockwise or counterclockwise.

This involves connecting two trails, Little Elbow Trail and Big Elbow Trail, which join at Tombstone Campground.

 

Alpine Trail 7

Description

This route highlights the dense and secluded Swan River State Forest and Jewel Basin Hiking Area. It winds through the Northwest Montana alpine filled with beautiful blue lakes, rocky exposed ridges, and lush greenery. For much of the route, Glacier National Park is on full display to the northeast. It begins at Napa Point and bobs up and down for 20 miles on rugged terrain before dropping down to Quintonkon Creek. Climb approximately 2500 feet to gain the ridge again and begin moving through the Jewel Basin towards the stunning Mt. Aeneas.
