Old Great North Road
The Old Great North Road was constructed using convict labour between 1825 and 1836 as the first overland route between Sydney and Newcastle. In the two centuries since, much of original road has been rebuilt and paved while the country around it has been developed for agriculture or settlement. However, 47km of the original route, from near Wisemans Ferry on the Hawkesbury River in the south to Bucketty in the north, remains unpaved and almost entirely closed to motor vehicles.

Brisbane Water Bush Bash
The Brisbane Water Bush Bash route was put together back in the mid-1990s by local elite runner, Greg Love, as a way of circumnavigating Brisbane Water, a large body of water on the populated NSW Central Coast, by following ridge lines and trails as much as possible. French Louie Loop (NY)
French Louie Loop! This is an awesome loop that brings you through a nice swath of the West Canadas, one of the most beautiful and serene sections of the Adirondack park. Named after the famous hermit and trader who spent years in the area, depending on what direction you do, the loop brings you by Pillsbury lake and Whitney lake before bringing you to the NPT to pass by the beautiful West and Cedar lakes. It's overall very flat with some rolling hills, and some sections where you can really open up your stride - pretty rare for the Adirondacks.
