Triglav (the Prag Route)

Submitted by the wild ned on Sat, 07/31/2021 - 03:39am
Description

Triglav (2864m) is not only the tallest mountain but is debatably the most iconic peak in Slovenia.  It is a sought after summit by both locals and international travelers.  Additionally, the Prag Route (north face) is a beautiful nearly 1000m face and is both steep and challenging.  Many people try to complete the climb in a day, up (and/or) down, or stay at one of the many huts in the park.

Tour de Newport (United Kingdom)

Submitted by awv on Sat, 07/31/2021 - 12:08am
Description

The route takes in the entire border of the county of Newport, south Wales at approximately 72 miles and uses roads and public footpaths to stay as close to the border as possible. It features a mix of trails, fields, country lanes, ancient woodlands and urban roads. No established route around the city exists so this is the first attempt at creating a route that can be run.

Leverick Bay to Hog Heaven Lookout (British Virgin Islands)

Submitted by Kathryn Burt on Fri, 07/30/2021 - 10:09pm
Description

The Leverick Bay to Hog Heaven route is very special for 2 reasons. 1 - It is the first FKT route in the British Virgin Islands. 2 - It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and a real joy to run. If you live in the area or are going on vacation here, it's a tough uphill run with rewards of beautiful views of the ocean and many of the islands. Along the route, you see the real British Virgin Islands off the tourist areas and run past homes, a primary school and local hangouts. Make sure to swim in the water after as a treat.
