Beginning in Chino the trail follows the road to the base of Yatsugataki, then after a steep climb to the ridge line it follows the backbone to the southern end (Gongen) then it descends into Yamanashi.

This trail climbs the iconic Yarigataki (Northern Alps) before veering south following the Hotaka Ridge line.. it ends at the Hotaka Gondola .

The course begins in Izumino ( Chino) and follows a 4WD trail for about 7 kilometers before joining the Natsuzawa Trail. From the trail climbs up Iodake, then across the Yatsugataki range before dropping down in the Kofu valley and climbing back again.

This route follows the Trans Alpine Japan route up Mount Senjo, it then drops down to Kitazawa pass before climbing up to Kaikoma. The return course is simply in reverse.
