The 2021 Hardrock Hundred Mile Endurance Run starts today. Two days before the run an important meeting took place where the event announced a new policy to increase women’s participation.
Starting in 2022, the percent of women’s entrants will be no less than the percent of women’s lottery applicants. Darcy Piceu who won the the race three times (2012-2014) is now a Hardrock 100 board member and she's returning to the race this year as a participant.

Heuvelland is a hidden region, far away in the Westhoek.
Starting in Kemmel (Belgium) and the furthest point Cassel (France) and back in a loop you arrive in a beautiful region.

Stretton Skyline (United Kingdom)
26 km and 1265m circuit around the hills that form the skyline of the Shropshire town of Church Stretton. It takes in the ridges on both sides of the Stretton Gap that follows a geological fault line, the Stretton Fault. The itinerary takes in Ragleth Hill, Hazler Hill, the Hope Bowdler Hills, Caer Caradoc, The Lawley and The Long Mynd. Starting and finishing at the Green Dragon Pub in Little Stretton. The first half of the route is made up of short sharp climbs and descents. The second half is a long gradual ascent of the Long Mynd and then a long gradual descent back to Little Stretton.

Mount Baker Grand Loop (WA)
I worked on this route for awhile. I am making the first attempt on it August 6th and 7th in hopes to finish under 24 hours. I wanted an easy straight forward route that is established by road, service road or by single track trail. I believe this could be a classic and fast, for any FKT attempt or anyone else who wants to circumnavigate Mount Baker in a safer manner. This has two passes you cross around the 5,000 foot range. Beautiful views of the cascades from both sides of the mountain and remote trails that show just how rugged Mount Baker is.
