Description

Iceline Trail, the jewel of Yoho National Park in British Columbia. Iceline is a very popular trail for runners, day hikers, and backpackers. It's generally completed as a clockwise loop which links Iceline Trail, Little Yoho Valley Trail, and Yoho Valley Trail. Iceline Trail gives a spectacular view of Takakkaw Falls from up high, on the other side of the valley.

There is one FKT for this loop, though it can be run in either direction. The start/end for is on the trail at the large sign at the Takakkaw Falls parking lot.

Description

This adventure goes on both on and off trail. It begins at Agnew Meadows near Mammoth, California. Take the PCT High Trail to Thousand Island Lakes. From there, run to the backside of the lake along the trail then climb to North Glacier Pass. For about 12 miles this route follows the idea of the Sierra High Route but you are not limited to the exact route.

Start from the Sherburne Pass Trailhead on the Pico Side and begin your run up the switchbacks. At the intersection following your climb, run along the AT/LT trail and make a turn for Cooper's Lodge. From Cooper's Lodge just take the steep trail up to the summit of Killington and then run it all the way back to your car. This is an awesome route with well maintained trails, a tough but short climb in the middle, and sits at around 10 miles which is perfect for anyone training for bigger races.
