Description

A well designed trail 3,000 ft. to a ridge with spectacular panoramic views.

Take CR14 on the north side of Ouray to NFS871 to a parking area near the end of the road. This is a dirt road that requires a creek crossing and is rocky. There are options to park lower and walk up the road to the trail head.

Sign-in at the wilderness kiosk a few steps up the trail from the road.  The trail is pretty consistently uphill on the way out. You will be rewarded with 360 views of the mountains around Ouray when you get to the top.
