Conondale Range Great Walk
This route follows the Conondale Range Great Walk of The Conondale Ranges in the Sunshine Coast hinterland in southeast Queensland. It is officially a 56km loop usually completed in 4 days hiking comprising mostly of soft rainforest single track and long climbs and descents. The highlight is definitely the views of spectacular Booloumba Falls and Summer Falls and the range of plants and wildlife. "Super fast" describes Brittany - she ran a 2:33 at the Olympic Trials Marathon for 13th place - but she had never set foot on a trail. Since then she won the Pikes Peak Marathon and last month set the Course Record at Moab Red Hot.
"I had this stigma about trail runners in my head, like they all were burly with beards. And there were wild animals out there."

South Turkey Creek Trail (Lake Meredith, TX)
This run starts at Lakeview Drive, Lake Meredith National Recreation Area, and is will marked and has an out and back with a loop at the end. Better to do this in cold months due the chances of snakes of trail but a really nice run. Not great cell service so be careful.
