Description

The Upper Lusatia Mountain Trail takes us through picturesque landscapes at the tripoint between Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. We get a closer look at the border region on exciting routes. The trail boasts a fantastic mixture of mountains, rocks and traditional towns and villages. We hike across a number of mountains with a height of 800 metres. If you add up the elevations of the mountains in Upper Lusatia, this figure amounts to more than one eight-thousander in the Himalayas! We see the source of the Spree as it makes its way towards Berlin.

Description

The Nordmarka High Five is a classic trip in the forest north of Oslo, Norway. It is a link-up between the five peaks over 700 meters in the capital area. The FKT has to start and end at Frognerseteren, but the order that you choose to link up the peaks is optional. The peaks, ordered in the direction they were run in the first fastest known time, are as follows: Helgehaugen (706m), Lamannshaugen (705m), Svarttjernshøgda (716m), Ringkollen (702m) and Oppkuven (704m) . The complete circuit is somewhere around 75-100km depending on the routing, and involves 2 000 - 3 000 meters of elevation.

Crater Rim Trail (OR)

Description

(Editor Note: This "Crater Rim" is near Bend, Oregon, not the more famous "Crater Lake" further south which is a National Park.)

Run around the Crater Rim Trail. This is a 21 mile arduous hike. There is vast stretches of forest, deserts, and mountains that extend from all sides.  This trail is classified as more difficult because of its length and lack of water.  There is an option to climb nearby Paulina Peak (as shown in the attached .gpx file).
