Description

I wanted to create something that included the iconic Pikes Peak of Colorado. But not exclusive to just the standard routes (Barr trail) of PP. I also wanted to include, what I believe is, the most well-known peaks in Pike National forest... other than Pikes Peak. That would be Mt Rosa and Almagre Mountain. If you look at the front range from the east those are the big three that stand out next to each other. The route has water holes that mesh with the mileage.

Description

Mt. Thielsen is a Southern Oregon Classic! It stands like a gravity defying tower, almost like something out of a Dr. Suess book. Various mountaineers and mountain runners have been testing themselves against its ascent, complete with an exposed final 80 feet of class 4 scrambling to the true summit.

The ascent FKT Starts from the obvious trailhead kiosk next to the bathroom and finishes when you tag the geological survey (summit marker) on the true summit.
