This route is something else. The great Brooks Range across Northern Alaska offers massive tundra expanses, filled with towering snow-capped peaks, even throughout the heat of summer. Lake Benchmark Mountain is one of the northernmost road-accessible mountains in the United States by the already northernmost highway: The Dalton Highway. This road, known to many as one of the more challenging drives available, provides direct access to this hike.

Start from Sepaq parking lot and then straight to the summit of Mont du Lac des Cygnes using the more open non-technical trail.

This route is a loop from/to Cuers town center, with very few paved roads. Most of the loop is off-road. During this trail, we can enjoy splendid views of Provence, the Mediterranean Sea and, if the weather is clear, even the Alps in the distance to the east.

Il chemine ainsi jusqu’à la baie du Mont pour offrir aux randonneurs un spectacle final époustouflant ouvrant la voie vers de nouveaux horizons.
