Highest peak in Northern Ireland in the beautiful Mourne Mountains.

Glen River route:

Start at Donard Car Park and head uphill for Donard Woods and the trailhead. Follow the Glen River uphill crossing a few bridges. You’ll reach a gate with forest on your right, follow the trail above the river towards the saddle between Slieve Commedagh and Slieve Donard. Continue up towards the impressive Mourne Wall. At the top, turn left and follow the stone wall up a steep hill to the summit where there is a shelter. Retrace your route back to the start.
