This 15 mile/24km generally easy path takes in the pleasing environment of the Erme Valley south of Ivybridge, as well as following a well sign posted, cross-country, route through attractive pastoral landscape. The route finishes at Laira Bridge, which spans the River Plym.

Der kleine Hansjakobweg ist in drei Etappen mit einer Gesamtlänge von 54 Kilometern als Rundwanderweg angelegt. Der aussichts- und erlebnisreiche Weg ist zwischen Kinzig- und Wolftal im mittleren Schwarzwald gelegen. Der Weg beginnt und endet in Schapbach, einem Teilort der Gemeinde Bad Rippoldsau-Schapbach, zwischen Freudenstadt. und Wolfach. Dieser interessante Wanderweg wurde nach dem Volksschriftsteller Heinrich Hansjakob benannt und im Jahre 1981 eingeweiht.

We currently recognize two overlapping variations of this route. Both may be completed in either direction. These routes can (and should) be completed without crossing private property, though entry permits may be required at some nature reserves along the way. Vehicle access is limited, some swimming is likely to be required, and drinking water is limited and should be planned carefully in advance.

Variation 1: Kei River to Port Edward (315km)
