I’ll be doing an unsupported attempt on 2-23-24 starting at lake O at 5:30am. 

I’ll be attempting the FKT for the DRT on the new reroutes this Saturday morning 2/17/24. I’ll hike in from Slaughter creek trail and head towards Long Cr Falls.

I made it 115 miles in 57 hours 45 minutes before calling the attempt due to multiple injuries.  I had also snapped a pole 20 miles in on day 1 which caused me problems.

This is confusing. The FKT website says the Florida trail is 1500 miles long. In the same paragraph, then they say the trail is 1300 miles long. The Florida Trail Association site says the trail is 1500 miles long. Hunter Leininger in his FKT report… read more »
