I completed the Direttissima over 17 days from 5/26-6/11. I did it in the style of a thru hike, by backpacking along the way. I walked the entire route, but had people bring me food. I did the route shown here from passaconaway to Cabot!

2026 September 11th @ 10 am I will be attempting to break the locally established 3 loop FKT (gate to gate) and then continuing on to hopefully complete an extra 2 loops for a first of it's kind run
  • orso gedeone:
The correct name of this track is "Sentiero delle Orobie Orientali" The original track (and also the one run by Poletti to set the FKT) is not a loop but started in Valcanale and ended in Passo della Presolana
  • cinemawall:
For those who have completed the GR430, which section did you find the most challenging, and how many days did it take you to complete the full loop?
  • MaartenVanHulsentop:
I am that friend. Will be running part of the course (the first kilometers) together so this qualifies us as a 'supported' attempt if i understand it correctly. I expect to be hours slower than Sander :)
